4 Kittens, Adult Cat Thrown From Moving Vehicle In East Hartford

EAST HARTFORD, CT — East Hartford Animal Control and the East Hartford Police Department are investigating after a box containing four kittens and two adult cats was reportedly thrown from a moving vehicle on Adams Street.

According to East Hartford Animal Control, the incident occurred earlier in the evening, prompting a response from animal control officers and police patrol officers.

Officials said officers safely recovered all four kittens and one adult male cat.

Efforts were continuing to safely capture the remaining adult cat as of the department's latest update.

The investigation remains active.

Animal control is asking anyone who recognizes the cats or knows who may own them to contact the office. Officials said callers may remain anonymous.

Investigators are also asking residents and businesses in the Adams Street, Murray Street, and Vine Street areas to review any available security camera footage from the time of the incident and contact East Hartford Animal Control at 860-291-7572 with any information.
