Second Major Crash Cleared In Hartford: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — With traffic backed up in Hartford due to a truck rollover early Monday morning, a multi-vehicle wreck on the other side of the highway caused a mess nearby as well, but it is now cleared.

The state Department of Transportation reports a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 84 West between exits 47 and 46 had resulted in three, then two, lanes of travel being closed.

The accident was first reported at 6:45 a.m., and it is no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.

This happened after a box truck rolled on its side on I-84 East nearby, causing a major traffic meltdown for much of Monday morning at about 5:08 a.m. That crash is cleared as well.
