Hartford Celebrating National Night Out With Free Community Events Next Week

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford residents are invited to celebrate National Night Out with free community events across the city on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

The events will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. and are designed to bring neighbors, community organizations and public safety partners together through family-friendly activities, food and entertainment.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes partnerships between residents, local organizations, and public safety agencies while encouraging neighborhood engagement.

In the North End, the Clay-Arsenal National Night Out Celebration will be held at Lozada Park, 47 Seyms St.

Organizers say attendees can enjoy a live band, food trucks, a live DJ from Hot 93.7, snow cones, popcorn, giveaways and raffles.

The event is hosted by the Clay-Arsenal Community Development Corporation and the Clay Arsenal Revitalization Association Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (CARA NRZ).

The South Hartford National Night Out Celebration will take place at Goodwin Park, using the South Street entrance.

Organizers are planning free food, bounce houses, family activities, and opportunities for residents to connect with neighbors and local organizations. The event is sponsored by the Maple Avenue Revitalization Group (MARG) Neighborhood Revitalization Zone.
