Nonprofit's 'Garden Party' To Support Hartford Community Garden Program

HARTFORD, CT — The Hartford-based nonprofit KNOX is inviting supporters to its annual Garden Party on Thursday, Aug. 13, to raise money for community gardening, tree planting and other environmental programs across Hartford.

The fundraiser will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bushnell Park Pump House & Carousel.

According to KNOX, the evening will feature seasonal food, live music and dancing in an outdoor garden setting.

Proceeds from the event will support the nonprofit's community gardens, urban gardening programs, volunteer initiatives, tree planting efforts and city planter projects.

"Let's come together to celebrate, connect, and grow our impact!" the organization said in promoting the event.

KNOX is asking attendees to RSVP by July 29.

For those unable to attend, the nonprofit is also accepting donations to support its mission to expand and preserve green spaces throughout Hartford.

KNOX, a Hartford-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, works to improve the city's environment through tree planting, community gardens and other sustainability initiatives. The organization says its programs promote greener, healthier neighborhoods while increasing access to parks and green spaces for city residents.
