Special Weather Statement Issued For Northern CT: What To Know

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for northern Connecticut due to "freezing fog and icy condition(s)" this morning.

"A combination of snow melt, below freezing temperatures, and freezing fog have led to very slippery travel conditions this morning. Use caution both driving and walking on untreated surfaces through 9AM this morning," the weather service said.

Issues on the roads via the CT DOT:

MANCHESTER - I-384 Westbound BUCKLAND ST OFFRAMP CLOSED because of Crash. Reported Thursday, February 26 at 4:57 am.

MANCHESTER - I-84 Eastbound Exit 62 OFFRAMP CLOSED because of Crash. Reported Thursday, February 26 at 3:58 am.

WILLINGTON - Road Work on I-84 Westbound between Exits 70 and 69 (1.8 miles) in effect today until 3:30 pm. The right shoulder is closed. Reported Thursday, February 26 at 7:53 am.

UNION - Road Work on I-84 Westbound between Exits 74 and 73 (4.2 miles) in effect today until 3:30 pm. The right shoulder is closed. Reported Thursday, February 26 at 7:52 am.

VERNON - Road Work on I-84 Eastbound between Exits 67 and 68 (3.8 miles) in effect today until 3:30 pm. The right lane is closed. Reported Thursday, February 26 at 7:52 am.

FARMINGTON - RT 10 CLOSED between RT 4 and Aqueduct lane because of Crash (1 Vehicle vs Pole). Reported Thursday, February 26 at 7:53 am.
