Teen Hit By Gunfire In Hartford Over The Weekend: Police
Hartford police are investigating a shooting near Cornwall and Thomaston streets after a 17-year-old was hit.
HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old with a minor gunshot wound after officers initially found evidence of gunfire but no victim at the scene.
Police responded to the area of 253 Cornwall St. on Saturday night following a ShotSpotter alert.
Officers located evidence that shots had been fired but did not find any victims. Area hospitals were also checked, with no gunshot victims located, according to police.

On Sunday, July 12, a 17-year-old male later reported to Hartford police that he had been struck by gunfire in the area of Cornwall Street and Thomaston Street the previous night.
The teen sustained a minor, non-life-threatening upper-body injury, police said.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes Division responded and has assumed responsibility for the investigation.
No arrests have been announced, and police have not released information about a possible suspect or motive.
