Man Charged With Strangulation, Assault In Ledyard, Police Say

The man is accused of entering a home and assaulting a victim, according to police.

LEDYARD, CT — A man is facing multiple charges after police say he entered a Ledyard home, damaged property and assaulted a victim.

Kyle Capozza, 36, of Canterbury, entered a home May 17 at 5:14 p.m., according to police. He turned himself in to police on an active warrant for his arrest this week.

Capozza was charged with first-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful restraint, second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Capozza was released on a $25,000 cash/surety bond. He was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Thursday.
