2026-27 Madison Budget Referendum: Voters Approve Spending Plan
The unofficial results are in, according to Town Clerk Nancy J. Martucci and Head Moderator Laura Downes.
MADISON, CT — Madison voters on Tuesday approved the recommended 2026-27 town budget at $103,760,099, according to preliminary results from Town Clerk Nancy J. Martucci and Head Moderator Laura Downes.
The town portion of the budget, $36,270,305 passed with 1,533 voting in favor, and 1,105 opposing it, according to the unofficial results.
As for the education portion of $67,489,794, that was also approved with 1,611 votes in favor, and 1,035 against.

Spending will increase 3.61 percent over the current allocation under the newly approved budget.
Just under 20 percent of the 13,527 registered voters in Madison cast ballots.
