Call to Care Uganda Appoints Joshua Torres to Board of Directors

Milford professional joins Madison-based nonprofit as treasurer to support clean water initiatives in Uganda

MADISON, CT – Call to Care Uganda (CTCU), a Madison-based nonprofit advancing access to clean water in Uganda, today announced the appointment of Milford resident Joshua Torres to its Board of Directors, where he will serve as treasurer.

Torres began engaging with CTCU leadership in March and will oversee key financial operations across multiple platforms in support of the organization’s ongoing water initiatives. “Josh brings thoughtful discipline, strong collaboration, and a genuine commitment to service,” said Martha Wells Hoffman, president of Call to Care Uganda. “As we expand our impact, his financial stewardship and community-minded leadership will be a strong asset to the organization.”

Torres brings experience in business management and holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, with additional hands-on experience preparing federal tax returns. He is also active in the Milford Rotary Club, where he supports community service projects on a volunteer basis.

Since 2007, Call to Care Uganda has drilled 104 water wells, bringing clean, safe water to more than 95,000 people in Uganda. CTCU is a Madison-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing health, safety, education, and long-term community vitality through reliable access to clean water.
