Madison Beach Hotel Plans Fall Festivals, Wine Tastings & Dining Events

Shoreline venue schedules a beach party, artisan marketplace, vineyard tasting and Burgundy-inspired dinner through October.

MADISON, CT — Madison Beach Hotel is planning a series of events for late summer and fall, including live music, a marketplace and food and wine events overlooking Long Island Sound.

The schedule begins on Labor Day with the hotel’s annual Endless Summer Beach Party and continues into October with its Annual Fall Festival and Marketplace, a Honig Vineyard & Winery tasting and “One Evening Only: An Epicurean Dinner with Maison Louis Jadot.”

The events will include steel drum music on the beach, local makers at the Fall Festival, Napa Valley wine tastings and a dinner inspired by Burgundy.

Endless Summer Beach Party

Monday, September 7 | 3 to 6 p.m. | Free Admission

Madison Beach Hotel will bid farewell to summer with its annual Endless Summer Beach Party on Monday, September 7.

Set along the beach overlooking Long Island Sound, the afternoon will feature live music from the Caribbean Vibe Steel Drum Band from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., bringing an island-inspired soundtrack to a final summer celebration.

Admission is free, with food and beverages available for purchase at the hotel’s outdoor beach bar.

Annual Fall Festival and Marketplace

Sunday, October 4 | 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Free Admission

Just a few weeks later, the beach takes on an autumn feel for Madison Beach Hotel’s Annual Fall Festival and Marketplace, a family-friendly celebration featuring local artisans and makers, live music, seasonal food, and activities along the shoreline.

The marketplace will showcase a diverse collection of Connecticut and regional artisans, crafters, and producers offering handmade jewelry, stationery, coastal décor, fiber arts, fresh flowers, accessories, home goods, artwork, and unique gifts.

Among this year’s participating vendors are Blue Sky Stamping, Vegetable Ivory, Home Prep Products, Maggie Szott, Lisa Maree Designs, Can You Top This?, HoneyBee Flower Truck, Yarnshaper, Sea the Allure Studio, JC Knits, Wavcap, Rustic Rottie Woodshed, MSD Design, Jellybeaches Coastal Decor, Coastal Keepsakes, and Annalyn Jewelry.

The Beach Bar and food concessions open at 11 a.m., with live music and children’s activities scheduled throughout the day. Additional details about family programming will be announced.

The Fall Festival is free and open to the public. Limited parking is available at the beach, with additional parking at Madison Surf Club off Surf Club Road. Complimentary shuttle service from the Surf Club will run continuously from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

An Intimate Evening with Honig Vineyard & Winery

Thursday, October 8 | 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. | $50 per person

Fall programming moves indoors to the hotel’s intimate Crow’s Nest on Thursday, October 8, for a guided tasting featuring Honig Vineyard & Winery, an acclaimed family-owned winery in Napa Valley.

Limited to just 25 guests, the experience will feature four Honig wines paired with chef-crafted seasonal bites while guests enjoy sweeping views of Long Island Sound.

The tasting will feature the winery’s Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc. Each selection will be paired with a thoughtfully prepared accompaniment designed to complement the wine and showcase Madison Beach Hotel's culinary style.

After the tasting, guests are encouraged to continue the evening with dinner at The Wharf Restaurant.

Tickets are $50 per person, excluding service fee and tax.

One Evening Only: An Epicurean Dinner with Maison Louis Jadot

Friday, October 9 | 7 p.m. | Limited to 60 Guests

One evening, Madison Beach Hotel will transport guests from the Connecticut shoreline to the vineyards of France for An Epicurean Dinner with Maison Louis Jadot.

The exclusive multi-course wine dinner celebrates the history and winemaking traditions of Maison Louis Jadot, founded in 1859 and renowned for its expressions of Burgundy's celebrated terroir.

Executive Chef Christophe Santos has crafted a menu inspired by New England autumn and designed to complement the evening’s featured wines’ elegance, minerality and complexity.

Joining guests for the evening will be Christian Dalbavie, Kobrand French Wine Specialist, who will guide diners through the selections and share the stories, traditions and winemaking philosophies behind the wines.

The evening begins with a welcome reception featuring East Coast oysters, yellowfin tuna tartare, and wild mushroom tartlets, paired with Bouvet Crémant de Loire 2023.

Dinner continues with courses featuring Maple Leaf Farms duck breast paired with Château des Jacques Morgon 2023; butter-poached Maine lobster paired with Louis Jadot Bourgogne Blanc 2023; and herb-roasted rack of lamb paired with Louis Jadot Beaune Premier Cru 2023.

A warm apple tarte tatin with Calvados caramel, Madagascar vanilla bean ice cream, and candied pecans concludes the evening, paired with Croft Tawny Reserve Port.

The dinner begins promptly at 7 p.m. and is limited to 60 guests. Jackets are requested.

Guests are also invited to make the evening a fall shoreline getaway with an overnight or long-weekend stay at Madison Beach Hotel.
