Madison Woman ID'd After Dying In Police Custody In East Haven: Report
The woman was taken into custody on Thursday and died on Friday, according to authorities.
MADISON, CT — A 33-year-old Madison woman has reportedly been identified as the person who died on Friday while in police custody in East Haven.
Margaret Walker's next of kin have been notified, and her death is under investigation by the state Inspector General and Connecticut State Police, CT Insider reported.
According to authorities, Walker was taken into custody in East Haven on Thursday, after appearing impaired or unresponsive while at a McDonald's. Police took her into custody on an active warrant for a probation violation.

While at court on Friday for her arraignment, Walker was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for evaluation, because she had a medical episode at court.
She was returned to East Haven police custody, and on Friday evening, she suffered another medical event, according to authorities. Officers rendered aid and requested emergency medical assistance, but she passed away.
