Preparations Underway For 2026 Madison Memorial Day Parade

The annual parade is organized by the town, American Legion and VFW.

MADISON, CT — Madison's annual Memorial Day Parade in honor of fallen veterans is scheduled to step off at 10 a.m. on May 25, according to town officials and the local American Legion and VFW, organizers of the event. A remembrance ceremony will be held on the Town Green after the parade.

The parade will start at the intersection of Samson Rock Drive and the Boston Post Road and proceed west on the Boston Post Road through the downtown area. It will conclude with the ceremony at the Town Green and a flyover.

Parade and ceremony attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

"Note that [the parade] will create traffic detours and road closures during the event," wrote First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons in a recent community update. "Residents and visitors requiring access to Middle Beach Road, the Madison Beach Hotel or the Madison Country Club should use East Wharf Road to access those areas during the parade."
