Voting Information For Upcoming Election In Madison

MADISON, CT — Madison officials are reminding residents about voting options and polling locations for the Nov. 3, 2026, state election.

Voters can cast ballots by absentee ballot, during the early voting period or at the polls on Election Day.

Absentee Ballots

Absentee voting involves an application and a completed ballot. The Madison Town Clerk will begin sending absentee ballots on Friday, Oct. 2.

Voters can submit an absentee ballot application online through the state of Connecticut or download an application from the town's website.

Completed applications can be mailed to the Town Clerk or placed in the official ballot drop box at Madison Town Campus in the circular parking lot between Town Hall and the Town Gym.

After receiving and completing an absentee ballot, voters can return it using the secured official ballot drop box outside Town Hall or mail it to the Madison Town Clerk, 8 Campus Drive, Madison, CT 06443.

Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Early Voting And Same-Day Registration

Early voting will be held at Town Hall, 8 Campus Drive, in Hammonasset Room C. Same-day registration will be available in Room B.

Early voting hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 19-26, Oct. 28, Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 1. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 and Oct. 29.

Election Day

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.

District 1 voters will temporarily vote at the Madison Senior Center, 29 Bradley Road. The district includes registered voters living at properties on the even-numbered side of Green Hill Road and south.

District 2 voters will vote at Brown Elementary School, 980 Durham Road. The district includes registered voters living at properties on the odd-numbered side of Green Hill Road and north.

Same-day registration on Election Day will be available at Town Hall, 8 Campus Drive, in Room A.
