Manchester Police Issue Advisory Heading Into James "Dutch" Fogarty Fireworks Event

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police have issued a traffic advisory for Saturday's annual James "Dutch" Fogarty fireworks event.

Here it is:

"This Saturday, July 11, is the James "Dutch" Fogarty Independence Day Celebration - America 250. Join us for a great evening of live music, community fun, and fireworks.

"Live music kicks off at 4:30 p.m. on the Manchester Community College bandshell stage.

"Fireworks will follow later in the evening at dusk.

"Parking is available on-site at Manchester Community College. Please expect heavy traffic after the fireworks display.

"Officers will be on-site to help direct vehicles and facilitate traffic flow.

"We want to ask for your patience and remind everyone to drive safely.

The weather forecast looks great, but if needed, the rain date is Sunday, July 12. We will post an update if the event is moved."
