Pedestrian Seriously Hurt In Collision With Vehicle In Manchester: Police

MANCHESTER, CT — A pedestrian was seriously hurt Wednesday in a collision with a vehicle in Manchester, police said.

The crash took place at 10:11 p.m. on Main Street, across from the Mary Cheney Library, according to an incident report.

Police said a 55-year-old Manchester man was walking
eastbound across Main Street in the area of the library when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Main Street. The vehicle was being operated by a 50-year-old Manchester resident, according to an incident report.

The pedestrian was transported to Hartford Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to an incident report.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Anyone with additional information or who may have witnessed the collision can contact Officer Nicholas Sinopoli at 860- 533-8620.
