MANSFIELD, CT — A new accessible bathhouse is expected to be delivered to Bicentennial Pond by the third week of August, replacing the facility’s former changing rooms.

The town’s Facilities and Public Works departments have prepared the site for installation of a new modular building after the former changing rooms were demolished earlier this year.

The new facility will include fully accessible changing rooms and restrooms for visitors to the Bicentennial Pond recreation area.

The park is a popular destination for residents and visitors who use its picnic pavilions, playground, hiking areas and swimming and paddling areas.

The new bathhouse is expected to be ready for use in the fall.
