ID Released In Connection With Airline Trail Untimely Death
DEEP police have released an identification in connection with an untimely death Monday at a hiking and recreational trail in Connecticut.

HEBRON, CT — State environmental police have released an identification in connection with an untimely death Monday at a hiking and recreational trail in eastern Connecticut.
The man located on the trail had been ID'd as Christopher Hawkins, 77, Colchester, officials said Wednesday. No cause was released.
On Monday afternoon, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's Environmental Conservation police, along with state police from the Troop K barracks and and local fire/EMS and personnel, responded to a report of a medical emergency on the Air Line Trail State Park in Hebron.

Once Hawkins was located, CPR was performed on him by a bystander, DEEP officials said.
Hawkins was transported to Middlesex Health’s Marlborough Medical Center, where physicians pronounced him deceased, DEEP officials said.

There is no apparent criminal aspect to the incident, DEEP officials said.
