Labor Day In Mansfield: What's Open, What's Closed

MANSFIELD, CT — Whether you're picking up burgers for the grill, making one last home improvement run or grabbing coffee before enjoying the unofficial end of summer, Labor Day is one of those holidays when hours can look a little different.

Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 7, in 2026. Many stores, pharmacies and restaurants are expected to remain open, while government offices, schools, libraries and other public services will be closed.

Individual locations may adjust their Labor Day hours, and some holiday schedules may not be finalized until closer to Sept. 7. It's always a good idea to check with the business directly before heading out.

Mansfield Town Offices And Public Services

The Town of Mansfield lists Labor Day as a town holiday on Monday, Sept. 7, meaning Town Hall and most municipal offices are expected to be closed. Other town facilities will also be affected; the Mansfield Senior Center will be closed, as will the Mansfield Community Center.
