October In Mansfield: Fall Fun, Festivals & More

Fall is officially here in Mansfield, and there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of it. From festivals and farmers markets to pumpkin patches, live music and other seasonal fun, October brings plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy what’s happening close to home.

Here are some events and activities happening in and around Mansfield this October.

Mojo Connecticut Music Festival

When: Saturday, Oct. 17, 2–10 p.m.
Where: Mansfield Drive-In, 228 Stafford Road, Mansfield Center, CT

Spend a fall Saturday listening to local music at the Mojo Connecticut Music Festival, an 18-and-over event coming to the Mansfield Drive-In. The one-day, rain-or-shine festival promises eight hours of live music, with VIP tickets offering access to the side-stage Deck area, an exclusive bar, restrooms and additional amenities. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.

Nightmare On Broad Street

When: Thursday, Oct. 29, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Where: Windsor Town Green and Broad Street area, 275 Broad St., Windsor, CT

Down the road in Windsor, Nightmare on Broad Street will take over the Town Green and the surrounding area for an evening of free Halloween fun. Families can trick-or-treat along Broad Street and enjoy activities including a Halloween portrait station, outdoor movie, haunted house and haunted bus, and tractor-drawn hayrides. Broad Street will be closed to traffic for the event, and trick-or-treating begins at 5:30 p.m.

Storrs Farmers Market

When: Saturdays through Oct. 31, 3–5 p.m.
Where: Mansfield Town Hall, 4 S. Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT

Shop locally grown and produced goods at the Storrs Farmers Market, held every Saturday afternoon through October on the grassy lawn at Mansfield Town Hall. Vendors offer seasonal produce, meats, dairy products, baked goods and other Connecticut-made items, with selections changing throughout the season. Each October market also has a special theme, including Soup Day on Oct. 17, Apple Appreciation Day on Oct. 24 and Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Fall At Foster Family Farm

When: Daily through Sunday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; night mazes Fridays and Saturdays, 6:30–9:30 p.m.
Where: Foster Family Farm, 90 Foster St., South Windsor, CT

For a full day of fall fun in the area, Foster Family Farm offers corn mazes, hayrides, pumpkins, farm animals, food and other seasonal attractions all October long. The farm's 2026 corn maze has an America theme, while Friday and Saturday nights offer after-dark maze experiences from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., including special themed nights throughout the season. Admission varies by activity; visitors can check the farm's website for tickets and its calendar of special events.

Halloween Glow In The Park

When: Saturdays, Oct. 3–24, 5–9 p.m.
Where: The Adventure Park at Storrs, 2007 Storrs Road, Storrs, CT

Adventurers ages 7+ can take Halloween into the treetops during Glow in the Park, when The Adventure Park at Storrs lights up its climbing trails and ziplines for a nighttime journey. The October events feature a Halloween theme, with glowing lights, seasonal music and costumes encouraged as guests climb, swing and zip through the illuminated courses. Since Glow events can sell out, advance reservations are encouraged; tickets are currently listed at $49.
