COVENTRY, CT — A Coventry man is facing three criminal charges after having illicit conversations with an undercover officer, police said.

On Thursday, Coventry Police arrested local resident Andrew Boutot, 34, on the strength of a warrant.

The warrant was issued after an investigation involving online conversations between him and an undercover officer posing as an underage female, according to an arrest report.

Said police, "Based on the context of the conversations and
further investigation, Boutot was developed as a suspect and an arrest warrant was issued."

    • Criminal attempt to commit risk of injury to a child
    • Harmful Communication with a minor

Boutot was held on a $50,000 bond and was arraigned on the same date at Superior Court in Rockville.
