Mickey Peréz, 60, died Feb. 4, 2026. He was an operations manager at Ulbrich Steel for 40 years and enjoyed fishing, playing pool with friends, and following the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Kathleen “Kathy” A. Seitz, 78, died Feb. 5, 2026. She was a licensed practical nurse for more than four decades, primarily on overnight shifts, a graduate of Maloney High School and Eli Whitney Technical School’s LPN program, and a dedicated parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church.

Margaret J. Bacha, 67, died Feb. 5, 2026. A dedicated healthcare worker, she was caring and generous, always willing to give her last to anyone in need.
Gary J. Lucia, 66, died Feb. 8, 2026. He was a Regional Advisor for Fleet Pride until retiring in 2024 and an avid motorcyclist and car enthusiast who enjoyed cruising with friends, driving his Boss 302, and following the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Lisa Nelson, 50, died Feb. 9, 2026. She was a pharmacy technician for the State of Connecticut and O.H. Platt High School graduate who was active in community advocacy and speaking out on social justice issues.
Janet McCauley, 95, died Feb. 11, 2026. She was a first-grade teacher in the Meriden Public Schools until retiring in June 1990, volunteered at Newington Children’s Hospital and Gaylord Hospital, and enjoyed skiing into her late 80s and playing golf with the Hunter Women’s Golf Group until age 94.
Jody Mark Luca, 64, died Feb. 12, 2026. He worked as a retail clerk for several local businesses, and enjoyed caring for animals, collecting antiques, and restoring radios and televisions.
Cheryl Ann (Zeitel) Burnell, 66, died Feb. 13, 2026. She worked at Schwink’s Mini Buy and Start Laundromat, and was known for her hospitality and caring for others.
Valerie Therese Bubon, 86, died Feb. 14, 2026. She was an opera singer and performer with the Greater New Britain Opera Association, taught the popular Exploring Opera class for over 30 years, worked over 40 years in banking rising to Assistant Vice President, volunteered extensively with arts, education, and community organizations, and enjoyed ballroom dancing, lecturing on opera, and mentoring students through programs like Junior Achievement and Buddy Readers.
