Ramp Closures Announced For Wrong-Way Driver Detection On I-691 In Meriden
The state DOT is advising motorists of ramp closures and detours that will be in effect during wrong-way driver detection maintenance.
MERIDEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is advising motorists of ramp closures and detours that will be in effect during wrong-way driver detection maintenance in Meriden in May.
The wrong-way driver detection maintenance and recertification will be performed on I-84 west and eastbound in Farmington, I-691 eastbound in Meriden and I-91 northbound in Windsor, according to an advisory from the state DOT.

Monday, May 11: 7 p.m. – 3 a.m.

- I-84 East and Westbound at Exit 39 in Farmington
- I-84 Westbound at Exit 38 in Farmington
- I-84 East and Westbound Exit 37 in Farmington
Tuesday, May 12: 7 p.m. – 3 a.m.
- I-691 Eastbound at Exit 2A in Meriden
- I-691 Eastbound at Exit 3 in Meriden
- I-91 Northbound at Exit 36 in Windsor
The project DOT01703638CN consists of wrong-way driver preventative maintenance and recertification across District 1 in Connecticut. This project is being performed by State Forces, TAPCO, Fiber Optics Plus and Electrical Representatives.

Traffic will follow posted detours and advised to seek alternate routes during the ramp closures listed above.
