Wanted Man Arrested After Disturbance At Home In Meriden: Police
Police said the man was found to have five outstanding warrants for his arrest.
MERIDEN, CT — A man who was arrested after a disturbance at a home in Meriden was found to have five outstanding warrants for his arrest, according to police.
Meriden police responded on Oct. 1 to a home on Atkins Street on the report of a disturbance.
The caller told police that the man involved in the disturbance was 47-year-old James Bowman, who had warrants for his arrest.

Police said officers tried to take Bowman into custody, but he tried to flee from the home.

Bowman had five failure to appear warrants, two issued by Meriden Superior Court and three by New Haven Superior Court, according to police.
Bowman was charged with interfering with an officer in connection with the disturbance at the home. He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
For the Meriden warrants, Bowman was charged with two counts of first-degree failure to appear. The original charges included criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree assault, and first-degree reckless endangerment, according to police.
For the New Haven warrants, Bowman was charged with three counts of first-degree failure to appear. The original charges included first-degree robbery, fourth-degree larceny, first-degree robbery with a firearm, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery with a firearm, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, according to police.
Bowman’s total bond for all six cases is $2.35 million, according to police.
