The Wilcox Tech girls basketball team made history with having two players reaching 1,000 career points this season.
MERIDEN, CT — The Wilcox Tech girls basketball team made history with having two players reaching 1,000 career points this season, according to coach Mallorie Michalak.
Michalak said both Brianna Cusimano and Sadie Vernon hit the milestone mark this year.
Vernon was averaging 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game, with 1,066 career points, heading into this week’s games.

Cusimano was averaging 18 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, and 5steals, with 1,019 career points, heading into this week’s games.
The team’s group of seniors sported a career record of 66-23, according to Michalak.

Wilcox Tech defeated Maloney 52-45 on Friday, Feb. 20 to close out its regular season with a 17-2 record.
Wilcox Tech opened the postseason with a home game against Bullard Havens Tech on Friday, Feb. 27.
