Iconic Deli Plans To Expand With Milford Shop

MILFORD, CT — Ray & Mike's Deli in Hamden will open a second location in Milford.

The deli's new spot will be at 112 New Haven Ave. The original location on Whitney Avenue in Hamden will remain open.

Ray & Mike's posted the following on Facebook along with a photo of the owner's family:

"The next chapter of Ray & Mike’s is a family affair.

"The owners and the next generation — standing together in front of what will soon be Ray & Mike’s Milford.

"For 29 years, this business has been a mom and pop shop built on a foundation of hard work, and feeding our community.

"Now we’re getting ready to bring that same Ray & Mike’s tradition to a brand-new home.

"Milford… the whole family is coming."

No word on when the deli will open.

Ray & Mike's is known for serving up classics like steak & cheese, breakfast sandwiches, Reubens and burgers.

"What started as a neighborhood deli in Hamden became a local heavyweight for one reason: we don’t cut corners. Big portions. Quality ingredients. Fast execution. If it’s on the menu, it earns its spot," the deli's website reads.

Ray & Mike's has earned accolades over the years, including best lunch spot and best deli in Hamden.
