“An incredible event filled with energy and purpose,” Mayor Richard Smith said in a statement. “One man running in memory of his late mother; one running to celebrate a significant weight loss; a mother and daughter team running to combat cancer. The reasons today were many, but in the end, it was about giving back to our community, helping people and making the world just a little bit better by being part of today’s event.”
Proceeds from this year’s event support the patients and programs at Bridgeport Hospital’s Milford Campus.
