Plans To Transform Church Into Apartments Reviewed By Milford Board

A plan to convert a church building into apartments was on the Planning and Zoning agenda.

MILFORD, CT — A developer is moving forward with plans to transform a former church into affordable housing in Milford's Devon section, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

The Planning and Zoning Board recently approved plans to renovate the United Church of Christ on Pequot Street into 20 apartments.

President of the Church Council Nancy Zellner said the church is still holding worship and is not vacant.

United Church of Christ's Final Celebration of Worship and Fellowship will be Sunday, June 14, at 2 p.m.

There will still be some activity at the church until the closing with the buyer, Zellner said.
