Popular CT Eatery Coming To Milford

MILFORD, CT — A popular Connecticut bakery and cafe is planning a new location in Milford as part of a growing retail development along Boston Post Road.

DORO Marketplace is listed as a newly signed tenant at the development at 1052 Boston Post Road, according to marketing materials from TRUE Commercial Real Estate, the property's broker.

The bakery and cafe will join several other businesses planned for the development, including Sprouts Farmers Market, T-Mobile and Hammer & Nails. Sprouts plans to open a store at the site in 2027.

DORO Marketplace operates several locations across Connecticut and serves breakfast and lunch items, baked goods, coffee and other cafe fare. Its existing locations include West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor Locks, Old Saybrook, Plainville and Avon.

The Milford location does not yet appear on DORO Marketplace's website, and an opening date has not been announced.

The development was unanimously approved by the Milford Planning and Zoning Board earlier this year and is planned for the former Howard Johnson and Hooters property near the Connecticut Post Mall.
