Rachelle Tobin Parady Obituary

Rachelle Tobin Parady was born in New London on October 4, 1948 to the late Marvin and Blanche Tobin. Rachelle passed peacefully, to be reunited with her husband Alton, surrounded by her loving daughters, Kae and Dorothy, and their furries, Jupiter and Syxx.

Rachelle grew up in Westport and raised her family in Fairfield. Rachelle was a very smart, strong, and independent woman who was extremely proud of her girls, Dorothy and Kae. Her grandson, Dyshawn, gave her extreme joy and he coined her Nana. She became Nana to many children, including his siblings, his other G-D Siblings, Trinidy, and most of her daughter's friends kids. Over the years, she shared her love of small games with the family, from Candy Land, Monopoly, to Yahtzee. She also enjoyed feeding us, either out to eat, or her and Alton being the host and hostess with the mostest, providing a delectable spread and the best times ever were had.

Second to her family, Rachelle was devoted to her financial career, and retired as controller of her company. She was a well respected member of the Fairfield County business community and loved by all she crossed paths with.

After her successful career, Rachelle greatly enjoyed retirement and filled her time playing games, reading, and enjoying family. After Alton's passing, her nephew Scott visited frequently which she greatly appreciated and looked forward to their visits. There was always a can you do list ready for him, to which he happily obliged. She also enjoyed lunch dates and other adventures with Sharon.

Rachelle will be sadly missed by her daughters Dorothy Reynolds and Kae Krynitzky; her grandson DyShawn Markey; her sisters: Mina Tobin (Chuck Connelly) and J. Tobin; her in-laws: Sharon, Alan (Janet), Wendy, Brian, Robin, many nephews, nieces, and honorary grandchildren.

In accordance with Rachelle’s wishes, all services are private. The Gregory Doyle Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
