Third Annual Golden Glamour Pageant Slated for August 22nd at the MAC
The Milford Senior Center's production of this spectacular event takes center stage in August
Join us for a celebration of confidence, creativity, and positive aging as the Third Annual Golden Glamour Pageant returns this summer and takes the stage on Saturday, August 22 at the Milford Arts Council (The MAC). This year's theme is Red, White and Blue - From Sea to Shining Sea "Shoreline Edition"
Hosted by the Milford Senior Center, the Golden Glamour Pageant has quickly become one of the Center’s most talked about events. Each year, individuals ages 60+ are welcomed into the spotlight to showcase talent, personal style, storytelling and community life.
“Golden Glamour is about community celebration and the brilliance of our lived experiences,” said Leonora Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Milford Senior Center. “Our participants bring humor, artistry, resilience, and heart to the stage. It’s an event that reminds everyone what aging really looks like.”

This year’s pageant will feature a creative runway segment highlighting personal flair and cultural expression, talent performances ranging from music and dance to poetry and visual arts, spotlight interviews that honor each participant’s life story and contributions, capping the event with the Golden Glamour awards recognizing attributes such as leadership, creativity, and spirit.
The event is open to the public. Families, local businesses, and residents of all ages are encouraged to attend and cheer on the participants. Online (www.milfordctseniorcenter.com) and in-person (9 Jepson Drive Milford, CT. 06460) tickets sales for this event will being on July 31st. Seating is limited. Tickets prices range from $25 to $45. Funds raised from the event help support programs and activities of the Milford Senior Center.

The Milford Senior Center is currently welcoming community and business sponsors to support staging, décor, music, accommodations, and participant recognition. Sponsorship opportunities include program visibility and marketing and event signage.
The Golden Glamour Pageant begins at 1:00 PM at the MAC, located at 40 Railroad Avenue South. Doors open at 12:45 PM.
