Annual Folks on Spokes &amp; Step Forward Ride + Walk event is planned for Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2 pm at Fowler Field in downtown Milford. 
As one of Connecticut’s longest running charitable events, cyclists and walkers come together to raise funds and awareness for mental health and addiction recovery in support of Bridges Healthcare’s services. Participants of all ages can enjoy the scenic Milford coastline by riding 5, 10, 20, or 40 mile routes or walking a 5K. This family-friendly event includes activities for kids, music, lunch, event t-shirts, and a special remembrance ceremony to honor lives lost to suicide and overdose.
Early registration discounts are available through August 31, 2026. From September 1-October 1, 2026 advanced registration fees are $50 per cyclist, $35 per walker, $15 for kids under 18. Children 6 and under are free.

Get your tickets now for our annual Share Your Light event, Friday, October 23rd, from 7:00–10:00 PM at Two Roads Brewery in Stratford, CT. We are honored to welcome Sergeant Kevin Briggs as our special guest speaker! 
Known as the “Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge,” Sgt. Kevin Briggs is a retired California Highway Patrol officer, crisis negotiator, TEDx speaker, and author who helped save more than 200 individuals from suicide through compassion, connection, and active listening. He now shares his inspiring message of hope, resilience, and the power of human connection with audiences around the world.
Share Your Light is My Friend Abby’s largest fundraising event of the year, supporting our work in youth and young adult suicide prevention. Your generosity helps us foster peer-to-peer connections through our Peer Project Grants and Community Projects, strengthening mental and emotional health and bringing hope, support, and awareness to those who need it most.

Bring your sensitive documents to be shredded on-site. Reasonable pricing and easy drive-thru service. STRATFORD ROTARY WILL BE THERE FOR YOUR SHREDDING NEEDS RAIN OR SHINE - 9am - 12pm (or until the truck is full) We also collect Electronics and Battery recycling! Donations requested. 
How it works: 
1. Drive up to the truck and a Rotarian will remove the shredding items from your car and deliver them directly to the shredding truck. You can stay and watch or simply drive away. Shredding occurs on location! 
2. Make your payment to the Rotarian Volunteer. All proceeds go to Stratford Student Scholarships, Grants to local non-profits, and community events ($10 small, $20 Medium, $30 Large Box)
3. Drive away happy and confident your sensitive information is securely destroyed. Shredding Certificates are available upon request. Prices: $10 small bag (grocery Plastic/paper bag) $20 Medium Container (bankers' box) $30 Large Container (Plastic tubs) $100 Fill a shred bin (65gallon rolling trash can at shredding location) All donation proceeds support Student Scholarships, Non-Profit Grants, and Community Events Supported by the Stratford Rotary Club and Foundation. Stratford Rotary Foundation is a 501C3 and Donations to this event may be tax deductible.
