Info Released On DUI Checkpoints In Montville

The checkpoints will be later this month in high-traffic areas.

MONTVILLE, CT — Police will conduct a DUI checkpoint in Montville on June 18.

The checkpoints will be "in various locations within the town of Montville concentrating on high traffic roadways such as Route 85, Route 32 and Route 163," according to police.

The checks will occur between the hours of 5 p.m. to 4 a.m.

"The purpose of the checkpoint is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public's awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways," police said.
