New Seafood Truck To Debut At Mohegan Sun

UNCASVILLE, CT — Summer will arrive a little early at Mohegan Sun as its annual Summer Kick-Off event returns to the Sun Patio on May 30.

The free, family-friendly event runs from 2 to 6 p.m. and features live music, food trucks and the debut of a new seafood concept, Reel Catch.

The food truck will be offering coastal favorites like lobster rolls, fish and chips, clam chowder and lobster grilled cheese. Reel Catch will remain at the Sun Patio throughout the summer season.

Summer Kick-Off will also feature a variety of food options from vendors including Philly’s, Yummy Wagon and Rubino’s Full Scoop.

Promotions will also be part of the event. The first 250 guests will receive a complimentary ticket to a Six Flags park, courtesy of Coca-Cola. Additionally, the first 100 guests ages 21 and older can receive a free cocktail at the Sun Patio Bar.

Located near Casino of the Earth, the Sun Patio features an open-air layout with a live music stage and fire pit seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Summer Kick-Off also marks the seasonal opening of the Sun Patio Bar, which will operate Fridays through Sundays and feature live acoustic music on Sundays.

Additional events planned for the space include weekly “Party on the Sun Patio” tribute shows starting in June and the annual Sun Tequila Tasting set for May 8.
