Moped Rider Injured In Naugatuck Crash, Road Closed: Police
Police said the operator of the moped was taken to a hospital following the crash involving a car.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A moped rider was injured in a crash with a car Thursday morning in Naugatuck, according to police.
In a news release posted to Facebook, police said a crash involving a car and a moped was reported at the intersection of Prospect Street, Locust Street and Picture Lane.
According to police, the operator of the moped was taken to a hospital with injuries as a result of the crash.

The crash is being investigated by the Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team, police said.
Prospect Street is closed from Lines Hill Street to Union City Road, and Locust Street is closed from Sheffield Lane to Prospect Street, according to police.

Drivers are asked to use City Hill Street and Wooster Street as a detour, police said.
