Naugatuck Educator Named New Director Of Early Childhood Center: District

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Public Schools announced this week Marci Craft has been named the new director of the district's Early Childhood Center.

According to the district's Facebook page, Craft has been dedicated to the district since 2009 and brings over 17 years of experience in early childhood special education, program leadership and family engagement to her new role.

Craft has served as the ECC's lead teacher since 2019, guiding daily operations, mentoring staff and championing the district's youngest learners.

"From helping launch Naugatuck's first co-taught preschool program with Head Start to developing the preschool special education resource model and expanding support for local families, her impact is felt every single day," the district's post reads.

The district also highlighted Craft's "passion for inclusive education and deep connections with [the] school community" as qualities that make her "the perfect leader for our littlest learners."
