The Naugatuck Police Department has released distracted driving enforcement stats for April 2026.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Police Department has released distracted driving enforcement stats for April 2026.

In a Facebook post Thursday, police said the department's traffic unit "conducted targeted enforcement efforts focused on distracted driving violations to help keep our roads safer for everyone."

  • Total Car Stops: 99
  • Total Citations Issued: 76
    • Cell Phone: 45
    • Texting: 14
    • Distracted Driving: 13
    • Speeding: 1
    • Other: 3

Police also noted the department's "Click It or Ticket" enforcement began Monday.

"Remember to buckle up every trip, every time," police wrote on Facebook.
