Victim Shot Several Times In Area Behind Mall: Waterbury Police
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
WATERBURY, CT — Early Saturday morning police said a person was shot in an area behind the mall in Waterbury.
At 2:25 a.m. police were notified that an individual had checked themselves into a local area hospital for sustaining gunshot wounds, police said.
The 29-year-old male from Orlando, FL, had received several, non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his lower extremities, police said. He is currently in stable condition.

Investigators found evidence of shots fired in an area behind the mall, police said. The incident is determined to have stemmed from an isolated disturbance, police said. This is an active, ongoing investigation.
