New Canaan Selectmen To Consider Public Works, Information Technology Requests During Meeting: Agenda

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Board of Selectmen is scheduled to consider a number of requests from various town departments during an upcoming meeting scheduled for Tuesday morning.

According to a meeting agenda available on the town website, the regular hybrid meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room.

Among the items listed on the agenda, selectmen are scheduled to consider several Department of Public Works requests tied to new lamp posts and electrical work for the Center School parking lot.

The Center School lighting items include a request to enter into a contract with F&M Electric Supply for the purchase of 19 single and four twin lamp posts and fixtures for the school's parking lot, according to the agenda.

A related item includes a request from DPW to enter into a contract with VVV Industries for the Center School lamp post project installation, according to the agenda, which also notes the project involves removal of old units and installation of 23 new units at Waveny Park.

Selectmen are also scheduled to consider a contract with Darien Electrical for electrical work tied to the new lamp posts at the Center School parking lot, according to the agenda.

Other public works items listed on the agenda include a request to enter into a contract with Turf Products Corporation for a new Toro HDX 4WD Diesel Workman, according to the agenda.

The board is also scheduled to consider a request from the Information Technology Department to enter into several contracts, including a contract with Presidio for the renewal and purchase of Microsoft 365 E3, Exchange Online and SharePoint, a contract with CDW-G for the renewal of Rubrik and a contract with Total Communications for the renewal of Cisco Collaboration Flex licenses for Cisco phone solution, according to the agenda.

The agenda also includes a request from the Registrar of Voters for a purchase order with Election Systems and Software LLC for election equipment software.

Human resources items listed on the agenda include requests to hire Jack Grace as systems administrator in the Information Technology Department, remove John Amarilios from probationary status and hire Richard DeLeo as Equipment Operator II in the Highway Department.

The agenda also includes approval of minutes from the Sept. 15 regular meeting, a Department of Public Works update and selectmen's comments.
