All-Female Puerto Rican Ensemble Versos de Mujer to come to New Haven

Albertus Magnus College is proud to serve as the host venue of Versos de Mujer, the only all-female Puerto Rican traditional music ensemble, for a special performance celebrating cultural heritage, women in music, and the spirit of Puerto Rico. The concert, “Con Puerto Rico en el corazón” (“With Puerto Rico in Our Hearts”), is part of the group’s 2026 BoriCorridor Tour and will feature traditional Puerto Rican music.

Through the artistry of women trovadoras and instrumentalists, Versos de Mujer brings Puerto Rican traditional music to life while preserving and sharing its cultural heritage with audiences across the diaspora. Their performance celebrates the richness of Puerto Rican musical traditions and highlights the important role women play in sustaining and evolving this art form.

The evening will conclude with a meet-and-greet with the performers.
