Southern CT State University, Yale New Haven Health Host Summer Nursing Symposium
40 area high school students to attend hands-on program where they'll learn about nursing careers, healthcare equity, and college readiness.
NEW HAVEN, CT — Southern Connecticut State University’s School of Nursing, in partnership with Yale New Haven Health, will welcome more than 40 local high school students for the 2026 Summer Nursing Symposium, a hands-on program designed to introduce participants to nursing careers, healthcare equity, and college readiness.
The symposium will provide students entering grades 9 and 10 with opportunities to explore the nursing profession through interactive learning experiences, conversations with healthcare professionals, and exposure to college and hospital environments.
The Summer Nursing Symposium, set for July 6 to 10 at Southern's School of Nursing, will include university faculty and staff and Yale New Haven Health nursing professionals.
