Farmington Man Charged In Newington Crash That Seriously Injured Juvenile: Police

The 27-year-old faces assault and drunk driving charges after a November crash in Newington that injured five people.

NEWINGTON/FARMINGTON, CT — A 27-year-old Farmington man has been charged in connection with a November crash in Newington that injured five people last November.

In that crash, Newington police said Thursday, a juvenile sustained serious injuries.

The Newington Police Department said officers charged Rudolf Null, 27, of Farmington, on Thursday, Feb. 26, on an active warrant stemming from the Nov. 26, 2025, crash at Fenn Road and Eagle Drive.

Officers responding to a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries found three vehicles involved in what police described as a serious collision.

Five people were involved, and all sustained injuries. A juvenile was among those seriously hurt.

The crash was investigated by the Midstate Accident Reconstruction Team, which determined that Null was the operator of the vehicle at fault, according to police.

Null was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, driving under the influence of alcohol, and reckless driving.

He was held on a $150,000 bond and appeared Feb. 26 in New Britain Superior Court.
