Stories of Somewhere invites viewers into a quiet dialogue between memory and place. This evocative two-person exhibition pairs Chaz Orr, a black-and-white photographer with Margaret Freedman, a painter of expressive scenes, each exploring how environments hold the imprint of lived experience.Through stark contrasts of light and shadow, the photographer captures fleeting, intimate scenes that feel both familiar and distant. In parallel, the painter reimagines place through layered color and gesture, offering impressions that blur the line between observation and emotion.Together, their works create a conversation between precision and interpretation, documentation and dream. Stories of Somewhere asks: what makes a place linger in us?
