Convicted Felon With Modified Gun Flees From Cops, New London Police Say

The man is accused of threatening a person with the gun, according to police.

NEW LONDON, CT — A man is facing charges after police said he threatened a person with a gun, then fled from officers.

The incident was reported Tuesday at the intersection of Bank and Golden streets at about 11:30 p.m.

The caller said a man had threatened a person with a gun following an altercation.

Police investigated and identified a suspect.

Officers attempted to make contact with Kendall Fluker, 22, of New London, but he fled on foot. Police said Fluker attempted to discard a gun while fleeing.

Police found the modified gun, which was seized when they took Fluker into custody.

He was charged with interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct, second-degree unlawful restraint, possession of a machine gun in commission of a violent crime, criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, criminal possession of ammunition, and possession of a large-capacity magazine.
