Details Released On Art In The Park, Neighbor Day In New London
The event will feature a native plant giveaway and free pizza.
NEW LONDON, CT — Art in the Park and Neighbor Day will be Sunday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverside Park at Adelaide Street and Crystal Avenue in New London.
The art event offers "an opportunity for plein air painting in Riverside Park when spring flowers are in bloom." Attendees are welcome to stroll through the park and enjoy the playscape. Free pizza will be provided.
Neighbor Day, which is an official city holiday, is centered on the theme of "Love Thy Neighbor."

"In the spirit of harmony with our community and the land, Riverside Park Conservancy will have native plants - sprouts from the park's Pollinator Pathway - to give away," according to a flyer from the city.
The event is free and open to the public.
