Car Plows Through Yard, Hits Fence, Utility Pole In Newtown: Police
The driver was taken to the hospital after the crash, which remains under investigation.
NEWTOWN, CT — A driver was taken to the hospital after a crash that damaged multiple properties and a utility pole in Newtown, police said.
The crash was reported at 4:52 p.m. April 17 on Dodgingtown Road near Flat Swamp Road, according to an accident.
Police said a Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Route 302 when it went off the road while navigating a curve.

The vehicle struck a mailbox and continued through a yard, hitting trees, bushes and a fence before crashing into a utility pole, bringing down wires, according to police.
The driver, a 56-year-old woman from Waterbury, was transported to Danbury Hospital with possible injuries, police said.
