Overnight Aquarion Work May Affect Water Service In Part Of Newtown

Low water pressure, temporary outages and discolored water are possible during the overnight project.

NEWTOWN, CT — Some Newtown residents could experience low water pressure, temporary water outages or discolored water Tuesday night as Aquarion Water Company completes an infrastructure improvement project.

The work is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Tuesday and is expected to last six to eight hours, according to Aquarion.

  • Little Brook Lane
  • Settlers Lane
  • Surrey Trail
  • Toddy Hill Road
  • Turkey Hill Road

Aquarion estimates about 66 customers will be impacted.

The company said customers may experience low water pressure, no water or discolored water during and after the project. Before resuming normal water use, customers should run a cold-water faucet until the water runs clear.
