North Branford Rotary Club Seeks Nominees For Its 'Service Above Self' Awards

It honors a person who exemplifies humanitarian service through selfless action, leadership and dedication to improving the lives of others

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The North Branford Rotary Service Above Self Award is presented to a person who "fosters impactful and meaningful humanitarian service, actively helping others in our community."

The North Branford Rotary Club is now accepting nominations for its annual Service Above Self Award, an honor recognizing individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to helping others and making a meaningful impact on the North Branford community and beyond.

The Service Above Self Award reflects Rotary International’s guiding principle and is presented to individuals who exemplify humanitarian service through selfless action, leadership, and dedication to improving the lives of others. Nominees may come from any background and do not need to be Rotary members.

Community members are encouraged to submit nominations online here. The online nomination form requests basic information about the nominee and requires detailed examples illustrating how the individual embodies the spirit of Service Above Self. Submissions should include specific and thorough descriptions of the nominee’s contributions.

The deadline to submit a nomination is April 24.

Each year, the North Branford Rotary Club receives many deserving nominations, making the selection process highly competitive. Individuals who were nominated in previous years but not selected remain eligible and are encouraged to be nominated again.

The Rotary Club looks forward to learning more about the exceptional individuals in North Branford who consistently go above and beyond to strengthen the community and make a positive difference in the world.

The Service Above Self Award Dinner honoring the 2026 recipients will be held on Thursday, June 18 at 6 p.m. at The Woodwinds.

Tickets will be available beginning May 1 through the Rotary Club’s website, Facebook page, or directly from any North Branford Rotarian.
