1. PoCo Festival

When: Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9, 2026 (see website for daily schedule)

Where: Augur Park | 290 Forest Rd, North Branford

The 24th annual PoCo Festival celebrates the North Branford community with carnival rides, live entertainment, food vendors, contests and family-friendly activities all weekend long. This year's festival also features fireworks, a petting zoo, tractor pulls and other special attractions.

2. Milford Oyster Festival

When: Friday, August 14, and Saturday, August 15, 2026, 5–10 p.m.

Where: Fowler Field | 1 Shipyard Ln, Milford

Head to nearby Milford for one of Connecticut's signature summer festivals, featuring locally harvested oysters, live music, food vendors, beer and wine, amusement rides and family-friendly entertainment. The annual event draws thousands of visitors each year to celebrate the state's coastal heritage.

3. Jazz On The Green

When: Thursdays through August 27, 2026, concerts begin at 6 p.m.

Where: Branford Green | 1019 Main St, Branford

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy free outdoor jazz concerts on the Branford Green throughout the summer. Now celebrating its 18th season, the series features a variety of live performances by local and regional musicians in a relaxed community setting.

4. Musical Mondays

When: Mondays through August 31, 2026, 6 p.m.–8 p.m.

Where: Branford Green | 1019 Main Street, Branford

For even more music on the green, Monday evenings will feature free outdoor concerts in a variety of musical styles. Bring a chair or blanket and settle in, or take a quick stroll over to browse the shops on Main Street.

5. Food Truck & Firepit Fridays

When: Fridays through September 4, 2026; 6 p.m.–10 p.m.

Where: Owenego Beach & Tennis Club | 40 Linden Ave, Branford

Spend Friday evenings by the water with rotating food trucks, beachside firepits and a laid-back community atmosphere at Owenego. While the event is open to all, the entry fee is waived for club members, who can also stop by early to get settled in and enjoy an earlier dinner.

6. Stony Creek Farmers Market

When: Sundays through November 1, 2026, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Where: Bayview Park | Thimble Island Road, Branford

Browse fresh produce, locally made foods and handcrafted goods while spending a Sunday in the heart of Stony Creek's waterfront village. The weekly market brings together Connecticut farmers, artisans and makers, offering a relaxed way to shop local and enjoy the coastal setting.
