NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was shot in North Haven on Sunday night, according to police.
Police said the shooting happened in the area of Whitney Avenue near the Hamden town line.
Preliminary information indicates that a 20-year-old man was shot while operating a moped, according to police.

The victim sustained injuries that police said are believed to be non-life-threatening and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

“Residents and motorists should expect a heavy police presence in the area of Whitney Avenue between Skiff Street and Millbrook Road while officers conduct their investigation,” police wrote in a post on Facebook.
