Haven Hot Chicken Sets Opening Date For New Location In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Haven Hot Chicken, a quick-service restaurant specializing in “Nashville hot chicken,” announced Thursday that its fourth location in North Haven will be opening Saturday, April 15.

The new restaurant is located in a 1,100-square-foot space at 146 Washington Ave., next to Starbucks.

Haven Hot Chicken, which also features its “Not Chicken” vegetarian options, is one of the “first fully dedicated Nashville Hot Chicken concepts in New England,” according to a news release.

The North Haven restaurant will feature the brand’s “signature menu of crispy, crunchy, juicy, spicy, delicious chicken and vegetarian options ranging from Country (not spicy) to Haven (extremely spicy), along with their beloved fries, sides and seasonal limited-time offerings,” the news release states.

Haven Hot Chicken recently celebrated the second anniversary of its first location in New Haven. It opened its Orange location in June and recently opened in Norwalk.

“We couldn’t be more excited to join the North Haven community and serve them the best Hot Chicken and Not Chicken they’ve ever had,” said Jonathan Southard, the restaurant’s general manager in North Haven. “To celebrate and meet our new community, we’re planning a big opening day party with a ribbon cutting, activities, and we’ll be giving a free sandwich to the first 300 guests visiting this new hotspot in-person. Additionally, we have already partnered with Quinnipiac Athletics as well as the North Haven Fire U12 girls soccer team as we dive into getting to know our neighbors in North Haven.”

While in-house seating is limited to counter seating, Haven Hot Chicken also offers “convenient ordering options of curbside pickup via their website as well as 3rd party delivery through UberEats,” according to the news release.

The restaurant’s signature item was voted “Best Chicken Sandwich” in Connecticut Magazine’s annual Readers Poll in 2021.
